# Safety and Reporting

## 1. Report a concern

Email [legal@podda.app](<mailto:legal@podda.app?subject=Podda%20safety%20report&body=Report%20category%3A%20%5Billegal%20content%20%2F%20child%20safety%20%2F%20threat%20%2F%20harassment%20%2F%20fraud%20%2F%20copyright%20%2F%20privacy%20%2F%20other%5D%0AApp%20ID%20or%20URL%20(if%20known)%3A%20%0A%0ADescribe%20the%20concern%20without%20attaching%20or%20retransmitting%20illegal%20material%3A>) to report illegal or prohibited content, an unsafe app, account compromise or another breach of the [Acceptable Use Policy](/acceptable-use). You do not need a Podda account to report.

Include, where available:

- the Podda app ID or app-detail URL;
- the category of concern;
- a concise description of what happened;
- relevant dates and whether anyone faces an immediate risk; and
- a safe way to contact you.

Do **not** attach, copy or retransmit child sexual abuse material, intimate imagery, terrorist material or other illegal content. Identify where it appears without reproducing it.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Podda's inbox is not an emergency service.

## 2. What happens after a report

We target:

- acknowledgement within two business days;
- urgent triage as soon as practicable;
- an initial decision within seven business days; and
- an appeal decision within fourteen business days.

These are operational targets rather than guarantees. Complex investigations, safety, evidence preservation or legal restrictions may require more time.

We minimise access to reported content. We may review relevant account, app, membership, grant and reason-coded audit information, request clarification, preserve evidence and consult providers, advisers or competent authorities where necessary.

## 3. Possible measures

Depending on severity and confidence, we may warn a user, revoke a capability, quarantine or remove an object, disable an app or account, preserve evidence, block repeat access, report to a competent authority or terminate service.

We consider context, likely harm, legality, user history, whether a narrower measure is effective and whether delay creates risk. We may act without notice where notice could increase harm, compromise security, destroy evidence or breach law.

Private access does not exempt content or conduct from the law or our policies.

## 4. Reasons and appeals

Where law and safety permit, we give the affected account a reason category and identify the policy involved without exposing a reporter or illegal material.

To appeal, reply to the decision or email [legal@podda.app](mailto:legal@podda.app?subject=Podda%20appeal) with the decision reference, why it should change and any safe supporting context. A person not responsible for the original decision should review the appeal where practicable.

Appeals do not automatically restore access while a serious risk remains. We will restore access or correct records promptly when an appeal succeeds.

## 5. Privacy and confidentiality

Safety correspondence is normally retained for three years. We disclose reporter information only where necessary to investigate, protect someone, obtain advice, comply with law or provide fair process. We cannot promise anonymity if law requires identification.

Knowingly false or abusive reports may themselves breach the Acceptable Use Policy.

## 6. Transparency and regulatory duties

We keep proportionate reason-coded records of safety actions without copying reported content into ordinary logs. We review patterns, repeat abuse and whether safeguards remain proportionate to Podda's private, named-invite design.
